Eight of our Academic Team cadets participated in a brain bowl hosted by Pasco High School on Saturday.  It was Pasco's first time hosting this type of event.  As such, it was started on a rather small scale with a limited number of teams participating.  Both of Gulf's teams beat the competition, placing 1st and 2nd Overall.  It is expected that there will be growth to this type of event throughout Flordia in the coming years.  Chief Rodriguez accompanied the teams to Pasco as the commander was with the Color Guard team which led the ceremonies at the Chasco Boat Parade.  Chief stated that Matthew Harmaz was the "Shining Star" at this competition.  Great job to all involved!!
